Blanc de Chine

With its origins in the Ming Dynasty and replicated by Meissen, high-fired porcelain with an unadorned white glaze is a staple in the East and the West. Termed blanc de chine or "Chinese white," vast quantities were produced in China for export.  Below are examples from eastern goods collection that represent both China (trio of figures) and Japan (large censer).
